The Mashrabiya- reimagining  the traditional architectural screen found across the Arab world and wider SWANA region as an object of memory. Created for children of the diaspora, and for anyone drawn to heritage and culture. As light shines from within, pattern becomes movement, echoing the life and stories once held within mashrabiyas.

The journey behind it ran from Cairo's surviving screens to Fez, Morocco, through an art residency with Fez Art Residency, learning traditional making alongside local craftsmen in the medina's wood workshops to represent in an authentic way.
